  • Think about your customer before anything. What is this trade show about? Think about what they’ll be looking for, and how you can help them find it (or find you). How are you planning for the future of your business and clientele?
  • Have your brand ready. If you’re advertising something. it’s best to rehearse this type of information in order to speak at your highest level of knowledge. Your competence is something people will look for and critically assess as you speak with them. If you can convey your intellect, people will feel more comfortable in trusting you with their work.
  • Be memorable! There are going to be hundreds of other vendors at this show! It’s imperative that your goals include sticking out. We’re not asking you to dress up like dinosaurs and clowns (unless you’re a birthday party entertainer, which is totally cool) but you should have something that people will remember you by. Offer coffee mugs to those who fill out an email sign-up list, or encourage them to ‘like’ your facebook page, and reward them for doing so. This way, they’re approaching you, engaging with you in two places, and you have optimal time to turn a passerby into a customer.
